Graphite shafts designed and manufactured by United Sports Technologies (UST) burst into the spotlight when PGA Tour veteran Jose Maria Olazabal won the Masters Tournament using the Proforce Gold shaft in his driver. The shaft’s distinctive purple-and-gold color scheme made it immediately recognizable, and the Proforce brand won instant brand awareness. But few, if any, brand names in golf stay at the top of the mountain indefinitely and UST sought public relations assistance to keep UST brands in front of golfing consumers.

Meng & Associates implemented a public relations campaign that included press release distribution to more than 60,000 media contacts around the world, as well as membership in numerous on-line golf news wire services. In addition, news about UST’s Tour Van was dissiminated to local media in communities hosting PGA Tour events.
